Bensulfuron-methyl + Acetochlor 18% WP

Pesticide Category: Herbicides Dosage form: Wettable Powder (WP) | Toxicity: lower toxicity
Active ingredients: Benzylsulfuron + Acetochlor | Total active ingredient content: 18%

I. Product Profile

Ben·Yi 18% Wettable Powder is aBinary Formulation Herbicide Specifically Designed for Rice Fields, bySulfonylurea-based broadleaf sedge herbicide (benzothiadiazole)andAmide-based grass weed pre-emergence herbicide (acetochlor)Scientifically formulated. This product combines the dual effects of ”surface-acting and systemic” action, providing excellent control of annual monocotyledonous weeds, dicotyledonous weeds, and Cyperaceae weeds in transplanted rice fields. It is a classic product for the integrated management of weeds in transplanted rice fields.

II. Mechanisms of action of active ingredients

Mechanism of dual-target synergy

forms

Ingredients Function Category mechanism of action Mechanism of action
Bensulfuron HRAC Class B / WSSA Class 2 Acetyl-L-lactate synthase (ALS) inhibitors, inhibiting the synthesis of branched-chain amino acids Systemic, absorbed by roots and leaves
also called dimethoate HRAC Category K3 / WSSA Category 15 Inhibitors of very-long-chain fatty acid (VLCFA) synthesis, interfering with cell membrane formation Pre-sprout soil treatment; absorption by young sprouts

The Principle of Synergy

  1. Broadleaf Cyperus Herbicide (Benzylsulfuron): Once absorbed by the roots and leaves of weeds, it is transported to various parts of the plant, inhibiting the biosynthesis of branched-chain amino acids and preventing cell division and growth. It is highly effective against duckweed, water caltrop, water parsnip, heteromorphic sedge, rice-grain sedge, and cowhair moss.

  2. Grass Weed Control (Acetochlor): It is absorbed through the young shoots of weeds, inhibits VLCFA synthesis, and blocks cell membrane formation, preventing weeds from emerging or causing them to die after emergence. It is highly effective against grass weeds such as barnyard grass and foxtail.
  3. Synergy: Benzylsulfuron compensates for the poor efficacy of acetochlor against broadleaf weeds and Cyperaceae weeds; acetochlor compensates for benzylsulfuron’s poor efficacy against barnyard grass, thereby achieving complete control of rice, broadleaf weeds, and Cyperaceae weeds in rice fields.

III. Product characteristics

✅ Six Core Advantages

forms

Specificities particular
🎯 Completely eliminates He Kuosha; broad-spectrum and highly effective It provides good control of annual monocotyledonous weeds, dicotyledonous weeds, and Cyperaceae weeds.
🔄 Enclosed and systemic—double protection It combines the dual effects of soil-applied and systemic action, providing control against both emerged and pre-emerged weeds.
⏱️ Long-lasting, one application lasts A Single Application of Pesticide Effectively Controls Weed Damage During the Seedling Stage of Rice
🛡️ Safe for rice, highly selective At the recommended dosage, it is safe for transplanted rice fields and does not affect tillering or yield.
💧 Flexible and versatile Can be broadcast-applied as a soil treatment or mixed with fertilizer and broadcast-applied; suitable for transplanted field cultivation systems
🌾 Classic formula, consistent results The benzoyl-ethyl mixture is a classic weed control formulation for rice fields, and its effectiveness has been proven over many years.

🎯 Preventing Objects

Primary prevention and eradication: Barnyard grass, thousand-gold seed, melon-rind grass, water dragon, heteromorphic sedge, broken-grain sedge, cowhair felt, duck’s-beak grass, rain-long flower, jointed water-celery, snake’s-intestine, field-mustard, clove smartweed, water amaranth, water-milfoil, water plantain, motherwort, and other annual monocotyledonous weeds, dicotyledonous weeds, and Cyperaceae weeds.

Has no inhibitory effect on the following weeds: Dwarf arrowhead, bamboo-leaf duckweed, water sedge, devil's-needle, flat-stemmed rush, etc.
Suitable crops: A rice transplanting field.

IV. Usage and dosage

📋 Implementation Plan for Rice Transplanting Fields

forms

Application period Dosage (formulated dose/acre) Water Body Management Mode of application
5–7 days after transplanting 30–40 grams per mu Maintain a water depth of 4–5 cm before application, and keep the soil moist for 5–7 days after application. Mix with fine soil or urea and spread evenly

Active ingredient dosage: The application rate of the active ingredient per mu is benzosulfuron Approximately 2–3 grams per mu + Acetochlor Approximately 15–18 grams per mu. When applying the pesticide, there should be a shallow layer of water 4–5 cm deep in the field, which should be maintained for 5–7 days.

V. Guidance for use

🔧 Application Points

forms

move operational specification
1. Seize the opportunity Apply the herbicide 5–7 days after rice transplanting, when the seedlings have become established but weeds have not yet emerged in large numbers.
2. Field Preparation Keep the field level and maintain a shallow layer of water
3. Aquifer Management Maintain a water depth of 4–5 cm in the field during application, and keep the water in the field for 5–7 days after application; do not allow the spray solution to run off.
4. Preparation of Medicinal Soil Mix the formulation with 15–20 kilograms of fine soil or urea per mu, and apply it evenly after the dew has dried.
5. Apply the pesticide evenly Ensure that the pesticide is evenly distributed over the field to avoid over-spraying or missed spots.

⚠️ Key Considerations

  1. ⏰ Optimal application period: After rice transplanting5-7 daysThis is the optimal time for application; applying too early may cause phytotoxicity, while applying too late, when weeds have already emerged, will reduce the effectiveness of the pre-emergence treatment.

  2. 💧 Water Management: When applying the pesticide, the field must be4–5 cm of shallow water, and maintain5-7 days, and do not let the solution spill.

  3. 🚫 Prohibited plots: Use with caution in fields with young seedlings, sandy soils, and fields with poor drainage., which may reduce the drug's efficacy or cause adverse effects.

  4. 🌡️ Temperature effects: This type of pesticide can inhibit the growth of young seedlings and weak seedlings under low-temperature conditions; therefore, application should be avoided during periods of low temperatures.
  5. 🐟 Aquatic safety: Apply the pesticide away from aquaculture areas, and do not wash application equipment in water bodies such as rivers or ponds.
  6. 🧪 Mixing Taboo: Do not mix with alkaline substances such as pesticides.
  7. 🔄 Number of uses: Maximum use per growing season1 time
  8. 🛡️ security: Wear protective clothing, gloves, and a mask when applying the pesticide; wash your hands and face immediately after application; pregnant and breastfeeding women should avoid contact.
  9. 🧹 Instrument cleaning: Thoroughly clean the sprayer after use to prevent residual pesticide from causing phytotoxicity to subsequent sensitive crops.
  10. 📦 Storage conditions: Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place, away from direct sunlight and high temperatures; keep away from sources of fire and out of the reach of children.
