Description
Diethylammonium chloride
Enhydrin 13% emulsifiable concentrate
Generic Name (English): Sethoxydim 13% EC
Product Type: Selective, systemic, foliar-applied herbicide
Mechanism of Action of Active Ingredients
Xenohidin belongs to the cyclohexenone class of herbicides; it is primarily absorbed through the stems and leaves of weeds and is rapidly translocated to the growing points within the plant. Its target is acetyl-CoA carboxylase (ACCase); it effectively inhibits fatty acid synthesis and disrupts the formation of cell membranes, ultimately causing grass weeds to cease growth and gradually die.
After application:
- Days 1–3: Weeds stop growing
- Days 5–7: The heart-shaped leaves lose their green color and turn purple
- 10–20 days: The entire plant dies
This product is safe for broadleaf crops and provides excellent control of grass weeds.
Product Features
1. Highly effective control of grass weeds
It is highly effective against annual and some perennial grass weeds:
- Weeds
- Matang
- Foxtail Grass
- Cow's-tail Grass
- Wild Oats
- Thousand-Gold Seed
- Watch Mai Niang and Others
2. Strong systemic activity
The herbicide is rapidly absorbed by the leaves of the weeds and transported to the roots and growing points, resulting in more thorough weed control.
3. Good selectivity
Suitable for a wide variety of broadleaf crops and highly safe for crops.
4. Flexible to Use
The product becomes effective immediately after post-emergence foliar application, making it suitable for modern, large-scale agricultural management.
5. Low soil residue
It breaks down relatively quickly once it enters the soil, so it has little impact on subsequent crops.
Applicable crops
Suitable for the following broadleaf crop fields:
- soybeans
- Peanuts
- Rapeseed
- wool
- Potato
- Sugar Beet

Dosage
Recommended Application Period
The best results are achieved when applying herbicides to grass weeds during the 3- to 5-leaf stage.
Instructions for Use
Apply by evenly spraying the stems and leaves.
| prevention and treatment target | Recommended Dosage | Directions for Use |
| Annual grass weeds | 600–900 ml/ha | Foliar spray |
| Perennial grass weeds | 900–1,500 ml/ha | Foliar spray |
When using this product, please adjust the application rate based on local plant protection guidelines and weed conditions.
Guidelines for use
1. Optimal Application Time
It is recommended to apply the herbicide during the active growth stage of weeds; control is more effective against younger weeds.
2. Spray evenly
Ensure that the herbicide is thoroughly applied to the weed leaves to enhance systemic translocation.
3. Avoid applying pesticides during inclement weather
It is not recommended to apply the pesticide before or after strong winds or rainfall, or under high-temperature conditions.
4. Dosage Recommendations
It can be used in combination with high-quality additives to improve the spreadability and absorption efficiency of the solution.
5. Recommendations for Resistance Management
To avoid long-term, exclusive use of ACCase inhibitors of the same type, it is recommended to rotate the use of herbicides with different modes of action.
Important Notes
- This product is intended for post-emergence foliar application only.
- Limited effectiveness against broadleaf weeds
- Prevent drift into fields of grass crops
- Take proper personal protective measures when applying pesticides
- Clean the sprayer promptly after use.
