II. Mechanism of Action of the Active Ingredients
Dual-Target Synergistic Insecticidal Mechanism
| Active Ingredients | Function Category | mechanism of action |
|---|---|---|
| Cypermethrin 5% | Pyrethroids | It acts on sodium channels in insect nerve cells, delaying the closure of these channels, which leads to sustained depolarization of the nerve membrane, causing convulsions, paralysis, and ultimately death. It has potent contact and stomach toxicity. |
| Profenofos 50% | Organophosphates | It inhibits the activity of acetylcholinesterase (AChE) in insects, preventing the hydrolysis of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine. This causes a massive accumulation of acetylcholine at the synapses, disrupting the normal transmission of nerve impulses and leading to the insect’s death by convulsions. |
| Synergy | — | The dual-target mechanism significantly reduces the likelihood of pest resistance developing; the rapid knockdown effect of pyrethroids complements the residual insecticidal action of organophosphates, achieving a dual effect of ”rapid killing and residual control.” |
III. Product characteristics
-
Broad-spectrum and highly effective: It is highly effective against Lepidoptera larvae (cotton bollworm, beet armyworm, cabbage looper), Homoptera (aphids, whiteflies), mites, and soil-dwelling pests.
-
Dual mechanism synergies: A scientifically formulated blend of pyrethroid and organophosphate insecticides that effectively slows the development of resistance, making it particularly suitable for Integrated Resistance Management (IRM) strategies.
-
High permeability: Emulsifiable concentrate formulations have strong penetrating power and can quickly penetrate the exoskeletons of pests and the waxy layer on crop leaves; they are also highly effective against leaf-rolling and leaf-mining pests.
-
long-lasting: The combination of the systemic activity of propamocarb and the residual efficacy of cypermethrin provides 10–14 days of protection with a single application.
-
Temperature Adaptability: The product maintains stable efficacy in high-temperature tropical and subtropical environments, making it suitable for the climatic conditions of target markets such as Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Africa.
IV. Usage and dosage
forms
| Applicable crops | prevention and treatment target | dilution factor | Application Rate (Formulation Rate per Hectare) | Application Method | Period of Safe Interval (PHI) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| wool | Cotton bollworm, red bollworm, aphids | 1500-2000 times | 750–1,000 mL | Even Foliar Spraying | 21 days |
| Vegetables (Brassicaceae) | Cabbage looper, beet armyworm, cabbage worm | 1000-1500 times | 1,000–1,500 mL | Even Foliar Spraying | 14 days |
| Vegetables (Solanaceae) | Tobacco budworms, aphids, whiteflies | 1500-2000 times | 750–1,000 mL | Even Foliar Spraying | 14 days |
| Fruit trees (citrus/apple) | Leafminers, red spider mites, scale insects | 2,000–2,500 times | 600–800 mL | Even Foliar Spraying | 21 days |
| maize | Rice leaf roller, rice planthopper | 1000-1500 times | 1,000–1,500 mL | Even Foliar Spraying | 21 days |
| Soybeans/Peanuts | Pod borers, aphids, and night moths | 1500-2000 times | 750–1,000 mL | Even Foliar Spraying | 14 days |
Application Guidelines: Treatment is most effective when applied during the early larval stages (instars 1–3) of the pest; during hot, dry seasons, the dilution ratio may be appropriately increased; for large-scale applications, it is recommended to rotate pesticides with different modes of action to delay the development of resistance.
V. Usage Guidelines and Precautions
Blending Compatibility
-
It can be mixed with most neutral and acidic pesticides and foliar fertilizers, butDo not mix with alkaline substances (such as Bordeaux mixture, lime-sulfur solution, etc.), to prevent degradation and failure.
-
We recommend conducting a small-scale compatibility test before blending.
Operational Safety
-
When applying the pesticide, wear protective clothing, gloves, goggles, and a respirator to avoid direct skin contact with and inhalation of the pesticide solution.
-
Thoroughly wash exposed skin and protective gear after application; do not smoke or eat during application.
-
This product is highly toxic to bees, silkworms, and fish. When applying the product, avoid flowering crops during their blooming period, as well as mulberry orchards and aquaculture areas; wash equipment away from water sources.
Resistance Management (IRM)
-
Do not apply more than 2–3 times per growing season. It is recommended to rotate with insecticides that have different modes of action (such as avermectin, chlorantraniliprole, etc.).
-
In areas where resistance to pyrethroids or organophosphates has already developed, small-scale efficacy trials should be conducted first.
Storage and Packaging
-
Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place, away from sources of fire and out of the reach of children; avoid direct sunlight.
-
Standard packaging: 200 mL / 500 mL / 1 L / 5 L / 20 L HDPE bottles/drums, or customized to customer requirements.
-
Shelf Life: When stored under the recommended conditions, the product has a shelf life of 2 years in its original packaging.
First Aid Measures
-
If accidentally ingested: Immediately take this label to a doctor. Organophosphate poisoning can be treated with atropine or pralidoxime (requires professional medical attention).
-
If the product gets into your eyes: Rinse thoroughly with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes and seek medical attention.
-
Skin contact: Remove contaminated clothing and rinse thoroughly with soap and water.
