Description

Amitraz 125g/l emulsifiable concentrate

I. Product name

Amitraz 125g/l emulsifiable concentrate
Amitraz 125 g/L EC
active ingredient: Amitraz 125 grams per liter
delivery mechanism of a medicine (e.g. pill, powder etc): Emulsifiable Concentrate (EC)
norm: 100 mL / 500 mL / 1 L / 5 L / 20 L

II. Mechanisms of action of active ingredients

Bimethoxyphenol belongs toFormamidine-based Acetamidine-Class Acaricides and Insecticides, with unique targets:
  • Octopamine receptor agonists: Dimethylamine mimics invertebrate neurotransmittersOctopamineIt acts by excessively activating the octopamine receptors in the central nervous systems of mites and ticks, leading to disrupted neural excitability, muscle paralysis, and metabolic disorders.
  • Monoamine oxidase inhibition: Inhibits monoamine oxidase activity in mites, interferes with the breakdown of neurotransmitters, and exacerbates symptoms of nervous system poisoning
  • Inhibition of Feeding and Egg-Laying: Infected mites rapidly cease feeding, female adults lay significantly fewer eggs, and egg hatch rates decrease
  • Knockdown and Residual Effect: It has a rapid knockdown effect on adult and nymph mites, exerts a certain inhibitory effect on eggs, and provides residual control for up to 30–40 days.

III. Product characteristics

  • Special Effect Against Mites and Ticks: Highly effective against fruit tree red spider mites (leaf mites), citrus rust mites, cotton boll mites, and livestock ticks; relatively safe for predatory natural enemies
  • Broad-spectrum mite control: It is effective against all life stages—eggs, larvae, nymphs, and adults—but is less effective at killing eggs than it is at killing adults.
  • long-lasting: Emulsifiable concentrate formulations have strong penetrating power and form a protective film on the plant surface and within the bark, providing residual efficacy for more than 30 days.
  • Effective at low temperatures: It retains good miticide activity even at lower temperatures (above 15°C), making it suitable for use in early spring and late fall.
  • Repellents and Aversives: Repels mites and prevents them from moving to untreated areas to cause damage
  • Suitable for livestock: For the prevention and control of external tick infestations in livestock such as cattle, sheep, and dogs (must be used in accordance with veterinary drug regulations)

IV. Usage and dosage

Applicable crops: Citrus, apples, pears, cotton, eggplant, chili peppers, strawberries, tea plants
forms

prevention and treatment target Applicable crops dilution factor Application Rate (Amount of Formulation per Mu) Application period
Red Spider Mites (Tetranychus spp.) Citrus fruits, apples 1,000–1,500 times 50–80 mL During the spring and fall growth periods, when there are 3–5 adult mites per leaf
Rust Mites (Gall Mites) Citrus 800–1,000 times 80–100 mL During the fruit-enlargement stage, when grayish-white spots appear on the fruit's surface
Cotton Leaf Mite (Red Spider Mite) wool 1,000–1,500 times 50–70 mL From the seedling stage to the flowering and pod-setting stage, when sporadic or patchy outbreaks occur
Tea orange gall mite, tea root-knot nematode Camellia sinensis 1,500–2,000 times 40–60 mL For use between the spring and fall harvests, outside of the picking season
Two-spotted Leaf Mite Vegetables (Solanaceae) 1,000–1,500 times 50–70 mL When you first notice yellow or white spots on the underside of the leaves,
Method of application: Focus on spraying the undersides of leaves, the shaded sides of fruit, and branch forks. The leaves should be evenly moistened on both sides, with the spray solution appearing as if it is about to drip but not actually dripping. Apply spot treatments at the early stages of mite infestation and conduct a comprehensive orchard-wide control during the outbreak period.

V. Guidance for use

✅ Best Time to Apply Pesticides

  • Critical Stages of the Insect Life Cycle: Treatment is most effective during the peak periods of adult and nymph mites; if treatment is applied during the egg stage, a follow-up spray should be applied 7–10 days later.
  • Temperature Conditions: The product is most effective at temperatures between 20 and 30°C; its efficacy decreases at temperatures below 15°C or above 35°C. Avoid applying the product during periods of high temperatures and intense sunlight.
  • Irrigation Coordination: Avoid heavy flooding of the orchard for 3 days prior to application to maintain the normal waxy coating on the leaves, which helps the pesticide adhere.

✅ Mixing Pesticides and Spraying

  • secondary dilution: First, prepare a stock solution using a small amount of water, then add a sufficient amount of water (typically 50–75 L per mu).
  • Spraying equipment: Use fan-shaped fine-mist nozzles to ensure that the undersides of the leaves are thoroughly covered with the spray; when applying pesticides with a drone, increase the water volume to 1.5–2 L per mu.
  • Synergistic Effects of Combination Use: Can be mixed with mineral oil (200–300 times) to enhance penetration, but avoid mixing with alkaline pesticides.

⚠️ Notes

  1. safety interval: Citrus and apples: 45 days; cotton: 21 days; tea plants: 15 days (Harvesting must not occur until the safety interval following application has elapsed)
  2. Fish Toxicity: Moderately toxic to fish; avoid allowing the solution to flow into fish ponds or rivers during application
  3. Bee Safety: While it is relatively non-toxic to bees, it is still recommended to use it with caution during the flowering period or to avoid times when bees are foraging.
  4. Resistance management: Long-term exclusive use of miticides can lead to resistance; it is recommended to rotate their use with other miticides such as avermectin, spirodiclofen, and etoxazole.
  5. Crop Sensitivity: Certain apple varieties (such as Red Fuji) may be sensitive to emulsifiable concentrates during the early fruit development stage; it is recommended to conduct small-scale trials first.
  6. Use in Livestock: When using the product for medicated baths or spraying on livestock, use a formulation specifically designed for livestock, and strictly control the concentration and withdrawal period.
